The Brief:
The Victoria Waste Management Association (VWMA) needed a fully functional, yet user-friendly intranet and client extranet solution to manage its data flows. It approached the Melbourne-based Design Industries studio to request a customized solution that would facilitate many of its business operations.The Delivery
Design Industries began the project by thoroughly analysing WVMA’s current business operations, looking for opportunities for improvement. Then we created a custom solution based on intelligent code that functions on multiple web browsers. The resulting intranet and extranet system is complex and secure. It not only manages data flows, but also creates and manages training seminars, reissues tickets and certificates, and manages accounts (such as tracking when training spots have and have not been paid for).
Once the web development functionality was in place, Design Industries made sure that the site fully complied with W3C standards and was based around an XHTML/CSS build.
Finally, we packaged everything in a modern, customized design to make the system attractive and compelling to its users.
